New research has found that nearly all marketing experts believe that online promotional videos are just as effective as banner advertising.
89% of marketers questioned in a new study said that they believe online videos are more effective than, or as effective as, more traditional methods of online advertising such as banner adverts. This is up from 66% of marketers this time last year.
47% of those surveyed said that they had already started using the services of video production companies as part of their digital marketing strategy, with almost two-thirds (61%) saying that they would consider it as an option in the next year.
As well as watching videos on a PC or laptop, more marketers are becoming aware of using video production services for other areas. 63% of those questioned said they were familiar with using tablets and smartphones for digital advertising, with games consoles and connected TVs (a TV with internet capabilities).
Businesses from a variety of industries and sectors can benefit from using online videos to advertise their products and services, and companies that aren’t using this form of advertising could be missing out compared to their competitors.
